![]() ![]() Now it’s time to check out the main features this VPN has to offer. For you, that might be too big of a breach in your personal security so it’s important to be aware of this before you give IPVanish a go.Īlright, I think we know enough about the company. The 5 Eyes intelligence alliance (which includes Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the U.S.) will investigate, track, and share personal data when they decide they need to. Since IPVanish is based in the United States they are subject to 5 Eyes jurisdiction. Not everything about IPVanish is peachy, though. In theory, that means your internet data is safer with IPVanish, since it handles the physical and digital security of its data centers itself. Not to mention, since users have so many IP addresses to choose from, internet traffic congestion is unlikely.Īdditionally, IPVanish claims to own 90-percent of its data centers, unlike smaller VPNs that have to lease their servers from third parties. Take it from someone who has used VPNs for years: Those are impressive numbers.Įssentially, with a network that large, IPVanish can almost guarantee fast network speeds wherever you are in the world. It claims that it has 2,000 individual servers across 75 countries, and that in total, users have access to more than 40,000 unique IP addresses. IPVanish has one of the biggest server networks among the VPNs I’ve tested. ![]() They claim to be the fastest VPN with “the most secure connections and the most competitive pricing anywhere”, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen similar services with a much more affordable price … I’ll get to that later in this review. (a subsidiary of Highwinds Network Group) in 2012. This is also something that wasn’t an issue until very recently so what I’d like to know is, why has this happened all of a sudden?Īny advice from the users on the forum would be greatly appreciated.IPVanish was founded in Orlando, Florida by Mudhook Media Inc. I’ve spoken to the tech team of IPVanish and they said that they were aware of the problem and were looking into it. My second problem is to do with a 403 error message on Google search that has recently appeared whenever I try to use it with IPVanish. ![]() This to me this is a bit of a cop out as, although I can use the VPN with the aforementioned configuration, I would rather get to the bottom of why WireGuard worked initially and then without warning became problematic for me.įor reference purposes, WireGuard works on all the other devices that I use it on except my iPhone 12 Pro Max using whatever browser I have tried it on. This time, they effectively advised that it was an issue that was not resolvable and to continue using the IKEv2 configuration as it was working for me. Unfortunately, it hadn’t so I contacted IPVanish’s tech team to ask why I was still faced with a problem that they had plenty of time to correct. Yesterday, out of curiosity, I tried WireGuard again to see if the issue had been resolved for me. As this VPN configuration worked for me, I continued surfing the internet and thought nothing much more of it. I contacted IPVanish via chat and they advised me to use the IKEv2 configuration whilst they looked into it for me. However, after a while, whenever I connected to IPVanish, the pages that I searched for wouldn’t load. Initially I didn’t encounter any problem with this VPN configuration as all my searches on the browser I was using loaded up without a hitch. The first is a problem with WireGuard that began not long after I used the VPN for the first time. So, I purchased IPVanish a while back now and I’ve encountered two issues with it that I’m hoping to resolve. Newbie poster here so please go easy on me. ![]()
